Cookies and storage

We use local storage and a session cookie to keep your passport on your device and to keep you signed in. We also store your theme, map style and your privacy choices so the app remembers how you like it. These cannot be turned off because the app cannot work without them, and they never require consent.

Diagnostics and personalised suggestions are optional and off until you allow them in your privacy choices. You are asked the first time you open AvioStory and you can change your answer at any time under You, or on the privacy choices page.

No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, no third-party analytics cookies and no advertising identifiers such as IDFA or the Android advertising ID. Nothing in your storage is used to follow you around the web or across other apps.

The apps use the same on-device storage instead of browser cookies. Deleting the app removes that storage from your device. If you have an account, your passport syncs back the next time you sign in.

On the web you stay in control through your browser. Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Site settings. Safari: Settings, then Privacy. Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies and site data. Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.

Clearing site data signs you out and removes the on-device copy of your passport. If you have an account, your passport syncs back the next time you sign in.
